Acclimatisation
Teams will complete short acclimatisation treks on and around Table Mountain in Cape Town.

Trekking phase
With several canyons to explore, Namibia offers a variety of trekking options for teams, from the challenging Fish River Canyon in the far south, to the rugged scenery of the Auklet National Park next to Namib desert. Both treks offer teams the chance to camp in the wild, and be completely self sufficient as they follow rugged rock formations and pools through the canyons.

Project phase
Teams will work to deliver sustainable projects in schools around Namibia or South Africa. The team will most likely spend 8-10 days living and working in a rural community. Many teams make a huge difference to small schools, providing them with playgrounds, sport pitches or vegetable gardens, or repairing and painting run down school buildings as well as helping with teaching and getting involved in after school sports or clubs. Last year a team helped a community in the Kalahari desert obtain their first water tap, saving them miles of walking each day.

Rest and relaxation
The Orange River offers teams the chance to raft across the border, or teams can visit the numerous attractions of beautiful Cape Town, including the famous Ruben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.
