Acclimatisation phase
Spend your first day finding your feet in the city before easing your way into the expedition by completing some gentle trekking through the jungle or at some low altitude hill stations. Explore the networks of trails and get used to the heat and carrying your rucksack before embarking on your challenging trekking phase.
Trekking phase
Experience the thrill of trekking through some of the world’s oldest jungle environments. Treks will typically last between 4 – 7 days and will provide you with an amazing opportunity to spend time exploring both primary and secondary jungle. You will learn how to set up jungle camps as well as receiving some interesting lessons in jungle survival from your guides.
Project phase
Teams can participate in a wide range of valuable project work. Teams have previously visited centres that care for the blind where they have taught English lessons, shared stories about their own culture and learned about the types of equipment the centre's residents use to help them overcome their visual impairments. Those with conservation interested have helped out with a tree planting scheme near the Cameron Highlands and helped jungle guides with important trail maintenance projects.
Rest and relaxation phase
Head North to the Perhentian Islands and relax – there will be plenty of opportunities to feast on the local food and play sport on the beautiful beaches. Alternatively, head back to Kuala Lumpur where you can do a spot of city sightseeing.
