Resourcefulness and determination Students who raise some or all of their expedition fee experience a greater personal connection to their expedition and enjoy the achievement of paying for their own experience. Last year Challengers raised an average of 80% of the cost of their expeditions, they were able to do this through our unique fundraising support programme and their own hard work. The resourcefulness required for fundraising success is a valuable life skill to learn and would look great on a CV. Take a look at other ways to boost your CV. |
Responsibility and self reliance
Challengers learn valuable life skills throughout the World Challenge experience. Students are expected to take ownership of their own expedition. This is their experience and although we will be their at every step to advise and support, we encourage self-reliance and responsibility for themselves and their team.
Planning and organisation
With the help of the Expedition Leader, each day of the expedition will be led by one of the Challengers; they will take it in turns to manage the expedition budget, map the route of the trek and cook for the rest of the team.
The life skills leant on expedition will really help in future college or job interviews. They’ll also enjoy the satisfaction of targets they have achieved!
