Another two Challenger Abseils raise a combined total of £20,000!!
On Saturday, 19th March 70 Challengers took part in the Challenger Abseil at Bridge 75 in Millersdale near Buxton raising just over £14,000. Thank you to Sam Clarke and Iain Downie for running the day and Charlea and Karen for registering the Challengers and talking to the parents and School Leaders. Atlas also took a trip up North and came out to greet the Challengers…The team then set off to Middlesbrough for the first of the two abseils at the Transporter Bridge where 25 Challengers took part raising over £6,000. Thanks to Sam Clarke, Scott Smith and Alex Hornby for climbing up and down the bridge taking the Challengers up and running the technical side of things and Karen and Charlea for running the registration.
Cotswold Outdoors attended both events to give our goody bags and offer kit advice to all Challengers.
So far the first 6 abseils have raised a combined total of over £96,000….with two more abseils this weekend at the Dromore viaduct in County Down and the second of the Middlesbrough abseils at the Transporter Bridge on Sunday we should hit the 100k marker!
