Application advice

Your journey with us starts with the submission of your covering letter and CV and it is your chance to make a first impression that counts!

Cover Letter

Please take advantage of the covering letter to draw our attention to the skills and experience you have relevant to the role. It is also an excellent platform for you to educate us on exactly what it is that makes you unique! We look for people who share the core values we share with our parent company, the TUI Group. If you have examples from your work, education or personal life that demonstrate the following, please feel free to include these for our interest: Playing to Win, Customer Obsessed, Responsible Leadership, Value Driven

CV

Your CV should give us a summary of your employment history. Please include your most recent experience first and give us a ‘taster’ of the responsibilities you have previously held. If you have taken substantial time out during the course of your career and would like to fill us in on any other activities you have undertaken during that time, please feel free to do so.

As an equal opportunities employer, we ask that you do not include details related to your gender, date of birth, age, family status, or ethnicity within your CV or covering letter.

References

In order to help us to make our recruitment process as streamlined as possible, please include your referee details in your initial application with us. We ask for details from two referees, ideally both employment related and to include your most recent employer. If possible, please include the email address of your referee along with their name, telephone number and the workplace they will be providing a reference in relation to. Your referees will not be contacted without your prior permission, but it helps us to have all of your relevant information in one place.

Interview

We appreciate that interviews can be a daunting prospect and we will do everything we can to make you feel as welcome as possible. You may well find that taking the following steps during your preparation for your interview helps you get the most out of the experience:
  • Know what it is that attracted you to both the position and World Challenge.
  • Familiarise yourself with what World Challenge do and the industry we are in.
  • Use the job specification you will receive prior to interview to your advantage. Picking out the core competencies of the role will help you consider examples from your own experience that demonstrate your capabilities in these areas.
  • Write down any questions you have for us, we are more than happy to answer your questions too!
  • Relax! Remember that you’ve already got our attention and that it as much your chance to find out whether we are the right company for you!
