| Peru sits on the Pacific coast of South America. It has three main environments: the vast Amazonian lowlands, the Andes Mountains and a narrow strip of coastal plain running down the west of the country. Each environment has its own distinct climate and during this expedition it is common to experience a range of different conditions - from the heat and humidity of the jungle to below freezing temperatures in the Andes! This expedition is ideal for an exciting and challenging experience. Highlights include snow covered peaks and glacial lakes in the Andes and working in Peruvian communities in the Amazon rainforest. |
