ASDAN Universities Award (UA) – £20
Due to the nature of the World Challenge programme which culminates in an overseas expedition lasting 3 or 4 weeks Challengers can register for and automatically gain the ASDAN UA. |

- The UA recognises Challengers who have been involved in experiential learning and who have developed their own personal skills including working with others, improving own learning and problem solving.
- Many students have found that the UA has made a significant difference to the outcome of their UCAS application process, either at formal interview stage or to the subsequent offer that has been made.
- Changes in the job market mean employers are demanding greater flexibility and increasing transferable skills. Those who develop the skills of leadership and teamwork will be more employable and will have a greater potential to add value to a company.
You will receive your certificate on completion of your expedition.
ASDAN Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) - Level 3 - £50
The CoPE Level 3 has recognition from UCAS and attracts an offer of 70 UCAS points!
The CoPE requires writing a portfolio and producing evidence that will be moderated to ensure it meets the standard required for the six assessed skills of; working with others, improving own learning and performance, problem solving, research, discussion and oral presentation.
Due to the close nature of the World Challenge programme with the skills assessed you will find plenty of opportunities to fulfil your portfolio of evidence without it becoming an additional burden. However, you do need to be committed as most of this will also have to be done in your own time and we recommend you reigister early in your programme to maximise the time you have to complete your portfolio.
World Challenge will advise you on what to put in your portfolio during the expedition programme and will provide access to the relevant information online. World Challenge will internally moderate the portfolio to ensure the standard is appropriate before it is externally moderated by ASDAN.
The World Challenge administration and ASDAN registration and certification cost will be charged to the individual participant.
