World Challenge holds the Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Quality Badge.

The badge is nationally recognised and designed to bring together all existing safety and quality badges into one easily identifiable mark of quality.
The Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge is awarded to organisations such as World Challenge which have been externally assessed as providing high quality learning outside the classroom and meet six quality indicators.
- a process to assist users to plan the learning experience;
- accurate information about its offer;
- activities, experience or resources which meet learner needs;
- reviews the experience and acts on feedback;
- meets the needs of the users; and
- safety management systems to manage risk effectively.

Ventures provided by World Challenge Expeditions Limited conform to BS8848 (Specification for the provision of visits, fieldwork, expeditions and adventurous activities outside the United Kingdom). Independently assessed and declared by the Young Explorers’ Trust on the basis of Operating Procedures and Safety Management Systems evidenced on 26th April 2008 and subjected to a further interim review on 16th April 2009. This declaration is valid until 26th April 2011, following a further interim review in 2010. World Challenge is also one of the first providers to apply to be assessed for the new Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge. Initial awards are due by the end of 2009. |
